Summer Scholars Application

To be considered for the Summer Scholars program, you must apply online. Please note you will be asked to submit a 200- to 300-word short statement on the application regarding your interest in the Summer Scholars Program. The application deadline has been extended to May 16.

You must also have your high school counselor send the following items:

  • High School transcript
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Record of any college aptitude test (PLAN, PSAT, ACT, SAT)
  • If English is not your native language, please submit your TOEFL scores or a letter from your English teacher certifying your English language skills. Please note that for non-native English speakers, either a college aptitude test score or certification of English language skills is required — not both.

Rolling admission to the Summer Scholars Program begins April 1.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Summer Scholars Program, you must:

  • Complete your sophomore or junior year of high school by June 30 of the year in which you wish to participate, and not graduate before January of the following year.
  • Have a high school grade point average (in most cases) of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or rank in the top 10 percent of your class.
