This minor provides fundamentals of manufacturing engineering, including a variety of industrial applications dealing with manufacturing processes, statistical process control, and designing for productivity. It combines a strong base in engineering science with project-based laboratory and design experience.
A minimum 2.0 g.p.a. is required for all courses in this minor. A minimum of 19 semester hours beyond any prerequisites are required, and courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser. This minor is not available to students majoring in Engineering Management (Manufacturing specialty), Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
