Digital Game Studies
(18 semester hours)
This minor introduces students to the foundations of game design and implementation. Designed to introduce students to the broad areas of expertise required to produce a state-of-the-art game or visual simulation, the courses are divided into three general categories: art and aesthetics, story and design, and programming and implementation. Students choose a specialty track in Game Art and Design, Game Studies, or Game Development.
A minimum 2.0 g.p.a. is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser.
