Computer Engineering

(20 semester hours)


The objective of this minor is to provide the student with a broad introduction to computer engineering with an emphasis on computer-based solutions to engineering problems. The minor combines a strong base in science, math, computer science, engineering science, and design. After completing this minor, students will be able to design and build computer-based digital electronic systems.


A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required for all courses in the minor. A minimum of twenty semester hours beyond any prerequisites are required, and courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit).This minor is not open to students majoring in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or engineering management with concentration in electronics and computing.
