About the Office of the Provost

Miami University aims to provide the best undergraduate experience in the nation, enhanced by superior, select graduate programs. As Miami's chief academic officer, the Provost is responsible for the stewardship of this vision, serving as the principal representative of the University to both internal and external constituencies, and leading strategic and entrepreneurial academic initiatives on behalf of the University. Working with her staff, the deans, and other academic leaders, she seeks to foster a rigorous learning environment for students, inspire high quality scholarship and creative activity, promote intercultural and global engagement, and support a transparent and fair governance system.
