When is Family Weekend typically held?
Several times, Family Weekend has been held during the first week of November; however, because parents have told us that the early November dates are less desirable, we try to schedule Family Weekend in October, when possible. In 2007, Family Weekend was held the last weekend of September.

Why aren't families informed about the dates of Family Weekend earlier in the year?
We strive to publicize the dates for Family Weekend as soon as possible so that families can begin planning; however, those dates are contingent upon the fall football schedule, which in turn, is determined by the Mid-American Conference. For this reason, we are often unable to schedule the event far ahead of time.

Is it difficult to find lodging during Family Weekend?
Unfortunately, because Oxford is a small town and somewhat isolated, there are few accommodations in the immediate area. Finding lodging for major campus weekends has become almost as competitive as sporting events, and some parents are disappointed to learn that they are not able to stay on campus. In an effort to facilitate attendance during this special weekend, we have created a comprehensive list of accommodations that include many located outside of Oxford but within a reasonable driving distance.
