Patrick Laude to present Irvin Lecture |

Patrick Laude from Georgetown University will discuss “'Like Emeralds Are Green': Simone Weil and the Impersonal Person” at 4 p.m. today in 304 Harrison Hall as part of the L. P. Irvin Lecture Series in the department of French and Italian. A native of France, Laude has been on the faculty of the French department at Georgetown since 1991. He is the author of Divine Play, Sacred Laughter and Spiritual Understanding; and Singing the Way: Insights in Poetry and Contemplation, among other works. Laude earned a master's degree in comparative philosophy from the University of Paris IV Sorbonne and a doctorate in French literature from Indiana University. |
