Payroll office now payroll services

The payroll office, which in addition to payroll processing offers a number of other services, is changing its name to payroll services. Additional functions of the office include:

• Analyzing each international visitor, scholar and teacher for employment and scholarship tax treaty exemptions

• Assisting all nonresident aliens with the preparation of their federal and state tax returns

• Administering the Employee Computer Loan Support Program

• Administering and managing the Kronos Time and Attendance System

• Providing assistance to all faculty assigned to the European Center with respect to the different types of expenses, reimbursements and processing

• Assisting the university community in determining whether payments made to individuals should be treated as employees or independent contractors

• Providing services to employees by withholding voluntary deductions such as savings bond purchases, United Way contributions, Cincinnati Community Shares contributions and Mini University day care costs

• Compliance with all federal, state and local tax laws
