Robyn Golden and Greg Moody will present “Insiders' Views on the Politics and Policy of Aging” at 7 p.m. today in 100 Laws Hall. Robyn Golden, Miami '79, is director of program development and provider relations with the Council of Jewish Elderly, a nonprofit service agency in Chicago. She was selected as the 2003-2004 John Heinz Senate Fellow, based in Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's office. The fellowship provides the opportunity for an aging-services professional to spend a year working in a senator's office to learn how public policy is shaped by our national legislature. Greg Moody, Miami '89, is a senior consultant with Health Management Associates. Prior to joining HMA, he served as a senior health and human services adviser to Governor Taft. The event is hosted by the Scripps Gerontology Center and sponsored by the departments of political science and sociology and gerontology. It is free and open to the public. |
