Kappa Alpha Order named one of the best

Miami's Epsilon Lambda chapter of Kappa Alpha Order was named the top chapter for the second time in its 24-year history at the organization's National Leadership Institute held in Austin, Texas, in August.

The chapter received the George C. Marshall Award for chapter excellence in all areas. This award is given to no more than three chapters each year out of a pool of more than 140 chapters nationwide. Awards are given based on areas of academics, finance, recruitment, community service, campus involvement and leadership. “The award is a reflection of years of hard work and dedication,” said Bobby Srivastava, chapter president.

Kappa Alpha also received awards in the area of money raised for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Academic Excellence.
