Winter break events at Goggin Ice Center will include skates for kids and teens, special holiday hours and a U.S. Hockey News Midget tournament.
Goggin will hold a KidsNight Skate with Santa himself 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15. It is open to the public and cost is $4 with free skate rental.
Those interested in registering for the McDonald's KidsSkate Session III Group Lessons are invited to enjoy a $5 discount if they sign-up during the skate.
Area teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to attend the first TeenNight of the 2006-2007 season to enjoy skating 7:30-11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Cost is $4 and includes skate rental.
Goggin will provide special public skating sessions during the holiday season. The hours are 3-5 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, Dec. 18-23, Tuesday-Saturday, Dec. 26-30, and 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31. These holiday times are offered at the special price of only $4 per person with free skate rental.
The arena will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1.

Goggin will host the 2006 U.S. Hockey News RedHawk Winter Fury Midget Major Tournament Wednesday-Saturday, Dec. 27-31. The tournament will feature 16 of the country's top Midget programs. The four-day event will include teams from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Alaska, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
