Scholastic Book Fair at King

New children’s hardback and paperback books will be on sale at the Scholastic Book Fair noon-6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Dec. 2-6, in the instructional materials center (IMC) of King Library.

Books from more than 150 publishers representing the newest titles, award-winners and classics will be available in a range of prices.

The community is invited to attend the opening event, a “Hats off to Reading” tea party 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1. Wearing a hat is encouraged. Tea and cookies will be served. A closing event at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, will feature the “Mad Hatter Storytellers,” with interactive stories for children ages 3 to 8. Children must be accompanied by a parent or other adult caregiver.

Purchases at the fair help the IMC add books to its children’s collection.
