Charles Waldheim will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in 1 Alumni Hall, part of a lecture series sponsored by the architecture and interior design department. Waldheim is director of the master of landscape architecture program at the University of Toronto. He is former director of graduate studies and founder of the landscape urbanism program in the School of Architecture, University of Illinois at Chicago. Waldheim’s teaching and research focus on landscape and its relationship to contemporary urbanism. He is the author of Constructed Ground, which documents the Millennium Garden Competition in Chicago, and co-editor of Stalking Detroit. The talk is free and open to the public.
