Patrick Buchanan to speak at MUH

Miami Hamilton’s Harry T. Wilks Lecture Series will present political commentator Patrick J. Buchanan at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in Parrish Auditorium.

The lecture is free and open to the public but seating is limited. To reserve a free ticket, call 5-3020.

Buchanan’s topic is "A Conservative View From Washington." The talk examines the break-up of the conservative coalition in the 1990s and the new politics of the 21st century, including issues of national sovereignty, the global economy and the future of the traditional values coalition.

Buchanan has served as a senior adviser to three American presidents.

The lecture series started in 1998 with a special endowment from Hamilton attorney and business leader Harry T. Wilks.
