Student trustees launch Miami Symposium site

Rachel Chase and Tamika Nunley, student representatives to the board of trustees, have launched Miami Symposium, a Blackboard organization site.

The site offers a public forum for students to voice their opinion on any topic, especially issues to be decided by the trustees.

"Students can weigh in on issues such as the sophomore on-campus living requirement and alcohol regulations via a mode of communication with which most of us feel comfortable and that is accessible to all students," says Chase.

The site also explains the role of the board of trustees and has links to related items including minutes of trustees' meetings. Log in to myMiami to enroll in the site. Click on "Blackboard Organizations" and search for "Miami Symposium."
