Girls hear about science/math careers

Miami’s 12th annual Sonia Kovalevsky Mathematical Sciences day will be held Saturday, March 1, in Bachelor Hall.

Girls from area high schools will be attending the all-day event, designed to expose high-school girls to some of the careers they can enjoy with degrees in science and math.

Invited speakers include researchers from Cinergy and Ohio State University and faculty from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and the department of mathematics and statistics. For more information, contact coordinator Emily Murphree at 9-5826.
