Biomedical research for Mars mission |

Neal Pellis, program manager of the Biological Systems Office and the Cellular Biotechnology Program at the NASA-Johnson Space Center in Houston, will present the College of Arts and Science Distinguished Graduate Alumni Lecture, "Biomedical Research Challenges for a Mars Mission," at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in 218 Pearson Hall. His talk is free and open to the public. Prior to joining the NASA-Johnson Space Center, Pellis directed the surgical research laboratory and the immunology graduate program at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. The lecture is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Science and the department of microbiology. |
