Holiday concerts

Diverse musical styles highlight end-of-the-semester concerts by ensembles in the Miami department of music.
The Collegiate Chorale and Choraliers, conducted by Bill Bausano and Ethan Sperry, will perform by candlelight at 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Dec. 6 in Kumler Chapel. Seasonal music and Britten’s "Ceremony of Carols" will be featured. The concerts are free, but tickets are required as seating is limited. For tickets, which will be available Dec. 2, call 529-3200.

The Miami University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Friday (Dec. 6) in Hall Auditorium. Ricardo Averbach and Gary A. Speck will conduct music by Strauss, Mozart, Hanson and John Harbison. Also featured will be the Oxford String Quartet.
