Raise Gospel Choir to perform at Miami Middletown

The Raise Gospel Choir will perform at 10 a.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1) in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium as part of Miami Middletown's "Fantastic Free Fridays" program.

The choir, under the direction of Raymond Wise, will perform a varied repertoire including spirituals, choral music, hymns and traditional and contemporary gospel music.

Since 1986 Raise Choir, from Columbus, Ohio, has performed extensively throughout the United States and in Germany, Austria and Portugal. Over the years, the various members of the choir have performed background vocals for numerous national recording artists and appeared in touring gospel musical productions.

The "Fantastic Free Fridays" series of performances is designed to provide opportunities for schools, area seniors and Miami Middletown students to enjoy a wide variety of performances during the week. The Bever family supports this series.

All Fantastic Free Fridays events are free and open to the public.
