Appalachia topic of town meeting

The eighth annual Racial Legacies and Learning Town Meeting, which will focus on the many faces of Appalachia, will be held from 1:15 p.m.- 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center.

Keynote speaker is Omope Carter-Daboiku, a storyteller and teacher who will lead a discussion with a panel of community members.

Free and open to the public, it will also feature art and music.

A free reception follows. RSVP to 785-3211 by Oct. 15.
