P&G Fellows in Knowledge Management grants announced |

Funds from a Procter and Gamble Fellows in Knowledge Management grant have been awarded for two projects in interactive media. A recent $1 million grant from Procter and Gamble supports a new Interactive E-xpertise Initiative at Miami. The grants were awarded to: • Shawn Oates, psychology doctoral candidate, and Yvette Harris (psychology), $10,203 for "Interactivity in Child-Computer Interface Design: Enhancing Memory Recall Via an Ecologically Designed Information Display System," and • Melanie Hatch (computer science and systems analysis) and Christine Noble (School of Engineering and Applied Science), $9,937 for "SimProject: An Interactive Decision-making Software Tool for Project Management Courses." The first Fellows in Knowledge Management funds were awarded last spring to the team of Marvin Dainoff, Niles Davis, Leonard Mark, L. James Smart and Robin Thomas (all psychology), $11,800 for "Interactivity in Virtual Environments as a Tool for Displaying Information about Complex Systems." |
