Senate approves two new majors

Senate approved new majors in social gerontology and mechanical engineering at the Dec. 3 meeting; the vote was Yes: 42, No: 4, Abstain: 8.

Provost Ron Crutcher announced that President Garland will meet with Senate Feb. 11 to discuss the reconsideration of the class withdrawal policy, Senate Resolution 01-04.

In other business, discussion continued on revisions to MUPIM regarding promotion and tenure policy.
