Fred G. Wall of Kettering has been reappointed to Miami’s board of trustees by Gov. Bob Taft. The governor also appointed Miami sophomore Michael T. Connaughton as a student trustee. Wall’s new term will expire Feb. 28, 2010. Originally named to the board in 1997, he is owner of Madsen Wire products and consultant to various manufacturing companies. Connaughton, a sophomore from Dublin, was appointed as a student representative for a term ending Feb. 28, 2003. Student members of the board of trustees have no voting power and do not attend executive sessions of the board. Connaughton, who is majoring in mathematics, Latin and Greek, replaces Carolyn Baiocchi. |
