Undergrad’s story airs on NPR

Justin Masterson, a Miami student and WMUB FM (88.5) reporter, reported and produced a story that aired nationwide on National Public Radio’s "Morning Edition" program Monday, Nov. 13.

While reporters from local public radio stations WMUB, WVXU and WNKU are occasionally heard nationally, it’s rare for an undergraduate —Justin is a junior mass communications major — to produce a piece that the national network will use.

Justin’s story was on a bass nature camp that bassist Victor Wooten held for music students in Nashville this summer.

Justin and his twin Matt, who is also a WMUB announcer, are from Cincinnati.
