New ‘I Am Miami’ campaign unveiled

The Miami community is invited to the unveiling of the new “I Am Miami” campaign for recruitment of minority students 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the admission office auditorium in Campus Avenue Building.

Last year’s campaign is credited with helping Miami reap a 28 percent increase in applications from minority students. This year, 9.2 percent of Miami’s first-year class is from racial or ethnic minorities.

Last year’s campaign of billboard, radio and TV ads also earned its producers, MYCOM Advertising Inc. and Miami, a national Clarion Award from the Association of Women in Communications.
