Jazz Ensemble performance includes guest artist John Fedchock

Miami's Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in Hall Auditorium.

Jeremy Long, newly appointed director of the ensemble, is a member of Miami's music faculty, teaching saxophone in addition to conducting the ensemble.

The concert will feature both solo works and arrangements of guest artist John Fedchock. Fedchock is an internationally known trombonist and jazz composer who currently leads the New York Big Band, a 16-piece group composed of alumni from major big bands and stars from New York's jazz scene.

The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call the music department, 9-3014.
