This is Our Miami contest exceeds expectations

Winners of the "This is Our Miami" video contest have been chosen from 31 video entries that were submitted. "The students' love for Miami shows through in each video," said Emily Berry, Miami '01, associate director of annual giving.

Winners were determined by popular vote during a two-week voting period in December. Students Joe Baur and Marie Maloney, a junior theater major, took first place, winning a Wii game system prize pack. Second place went to Jeffrey Raulie, a junior graphic design major, who won a Polaroid 23-inch LCD HDTV. Rob Van Cleve, a junior marketing major, took third place and a Flip Ultra Series Camcorder.

The contest garnered more than 46,000 page views and received 13,267 votes, exceeding organizers' expectations.
