Painting by Miami graduate student receives awards

"Pinsel," by Miami University graduate student Andrew Dailey.
A painting by Andrew Dailey, "Pinsel," received two awards and is included in the 54th Mid-States Art Exhibition at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science. Dailey is a master's degree student in art at Miami University.

"Pinsel" was selected to receive the $500 Jeanne Bowman Ellenstein Purchase Award and the $250 Jo Ritz Memorial Merit Award and will become part of the museum's permanent collection.

The Mid-States Art Exhibition continues through Jan. 18, 2009, at the museum, located at 411 S.E. Riverside Dr. in Evansville, Ind. Dailey was recognized at an awards presentation held Dec. 6.
