New Plays Festival at Miami Hamilton Dec. 11, 12, 13

Miami Writes II: New Plays Festival "Apoconomics Now!" features performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 11, 12 and 13, in 307 Phelps Hall at Miami Hamilton. Plays are developed and performed by students in Theatre 238: Improvising Toward Devising taught by Rebecca Eaton, assistant professor of theatre.

Several of the offerings center on life in an imaginable distant (or not) future where the economic system has collapsed, technology has failed and humans are left on their own to build new meaning and ways to connect with each other.

Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for the general public. Tickets are available at the door beginning at 6:45 p.m.
