Eldon Lee (Keppler) Wiley, professor of educational leadership at Miami from 1970 to 1991, died Sept. 8 in Hamilton. He was 82.
Wiley received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Miami in 1949 and 1952, respectively, and taught at Miami in 1965-1966 before becoming executive director of the Southwestern Ohio Educational Research Council, Inc. Previously he had been a teacher and superintendent of the Kingston, Bradford and Ripley-Union Lewis school districts.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen and daughter Pamela (Thuri Cook), daughter-in-law Lea Stern and grandchildren Michelle Piper, Jennifer Bennett, Kristen Wiley (Jim Harrison), Laura Gorski (Dennis) and Christopher Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his son Dean and grandson Christopher.
