Howard receives SEAS Research Award

Lizz Howard

Lizz Howard is recipient of the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) Regional Campus Research Award. Howard is associate professor in computer and information technology at Miami Middletown. The award is given annually to recognize outstanding accomplishments in research and scholarship.

Howard's scholarship is focused on ethics, student learning, inclusion, learning styles and collaboration and communication in computing. She has published widely and presented at numerous conferences and workshops, most recently as an invited speaker on "Information Technology Ethics" at the University of Oxford, U.K.

Howard began teaching at Miami in 1995 and holds degrees in computer engineering and systems analysis.
