Team Miami competes in Red Brick Run

Team Miami, 90 members strong, competed in the Red Brick Run on April 13. The team was part of an Employee Health & Well Being run/walk training program.

Members met on Mondays with volunteer coaches Rich Ceronie, head coach of women's track and field/cross-country; Amy Carito, administrative manager for business support/client services in housing, dining and guest services; and Judy Delzell (music).

"Race day was very inspiring," said Jay Kimiecik, director of Employee Health & Well-Being. "The vast majority of the Miami employees participating had no experience with exercise and had never participated in a race before. By race day many of our employees had made new friends and had transformed to regular runners or walkers, which is really the whole point. I was so impressed by the camaraderie and caring for each other before, during, after the race. We really were a team."
