Kinzer to speak March 26, Grayson Kirk Lecture Series

Stephen Kinzer, former New York Times bureau chief in Berlin, Nicaragua and Turkey, will present "Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Miami University's Hall Auditorium. His talk is part of the Grayson Kirk Distinguished Lecture Series.

An award-winning foreign correspondent, Kinzer spent more than 20 years with the New York Times and has reported from more than 50 countries on four continents.

He is author of many books, including Crescent and Star: Turkey Between two Worlds, All the Shah's Men: An American Coup and the Roots of Middle East Terror, and his most recent, Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq. He is currently writing a book about Rwanda.

His articles and books have led the Washington Post to place him "among the best in popular foreign policy storytelling."
Kinzer is currently the Charles Moskos Visiting Professor of Military Studies at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.
