"Relevancy of Environmental Issues in Primary Campaigns" will be the topic of a lecture by Jack Shaner, public affairs director for the Ohio Environmental Council, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in 107 Boyd Hall. His talk is the first in a new lecture series focused on current environmental campaigns, air and water quality, environmental justice, and climate change and energy conservation, which is sponsored by Miami's Institute of Environmental Sciences.
Shaner will discuss how environmental issues are addressed or disregarded from Ohio legislation. As the OEC's chief lobbyist, Shaner represents the organization at the Statehouse and before state agencies in Columbus.
