Celebrate Charter Day and countdown to bicentennial

Miami formally kicks off its yearlong celebration of 200 years (1809-2009) at the Charter Day Bicentennial Ball, to be held one year from today on Feb. 21, 2009. In anticipation of the event, the Charter Day committee will be distributing free cookies and "Get ready to party like it's 1809, Bicentennial Ball 2009" T-shirts from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Hub.
