Author Brock Clarke reading Nov. 29

Author Brock Clarke
Author Brock Clarke will read from his book, An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England (Algonquin Press, 2007), at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in room 100 art building.

Entertainment Weekly selected the book as a "must read" for fall. Janet Maslin's review in The New York Times described it as "sharp-edged and unpredictable, punctuated by moments of choice absurdist humor."

Clarke is associate professor of English at the University of Cincinnati and is a two-time finalist for the National Magazine Award for fiction. He also is the author of story collections, What We Won't Do and Carrying the Torch and The Ordinary White Boy, his debut novel.
