The American Civil Liberties Union has criticized Miami's decision to remove a
student's art project earlier this week, saying the university's intentions were well-meaning but harmful to free speech rights. Quotes Provost Jeffrey Herbst, who said the university can respect controversial art, but there was nothing to identify the project as the work of an artist and not a racist group and the university had no prior notice.
