Miami to close for snow emergency

Due to the snow emergency, the Oxford, Hamilton and Middletown campuses of Miami University will close at 2 p.m. today (Dec. 22) and remain closed tomorrow (Dec. 23).

Only weather emergency staff are to report to work.

Classified employees who are designated weather emergency staff and thus required to work will receive double time for hours worked after 2 p.m. today or tomorrow.

Employees who are not designated as weather emergency staff may leave at 2 p.m. today and will receive regular pay for hours scheduled after that.

Employees scheduled for vacation today or tomorrow will be required to take the days as vacation days.

Miami closes Dec. 24 for winter break. Offices reopen Jan. 3 and classes resume Jan. 10.
