908 graduate at fall commencement12/15/2003 |

Miami University will award 908 diplomas at its fall commencement ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, in Millett Hall. Miami President James C. Garland will preside. Student speaker will be Stacy Kinsey from the School of Education and Allied Professions. Marie Ramagli Stanton, president of Miami’s alumni association, will speak briefly. Organist Roderick E. Nimtz, assistant executive director at Miami University Middletown, will present the music. The winner of the E. Phillips Knox Teaching Award will be made public during the ceremony. The award honors a Miami faculty member who has demonstrated excellence and innovation in teaching at the undergraduate level. Conferral of diplomas will include 69 associate’s, 682 bachelor’s, 139 master’s and 12 doctorates and six certificates. |
