Joseph (Jay) Kayne has been appointed the Cintas Chair in Entrepreneurship at Miami University's Richard T. Farmer School of Business. The Cintas Chair leads the teaching and research activities in the Thomas C. Page Center for Entrepreneurship in the School of Business. Kayne is a partner of Exit Strategies, Inc., worldwide consultants on the application of entrepreneurial theory, strategies and practices. Previously, Kayne served as vice-president for community and policy at the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in Kansas City, Mo. Kayne has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has been a featured speaker on entrepreneurship at many regional and national events. He has held economic development responsibilities with a number of organizations, including eight years as director of economic development and commerce policy studies at the National Governors Association in Washington, D.C. Kayne earned his bachelors degree from the University of Virginia and also holds a masters degree and doctorate from Johns Hopkins University. The Richard T. Farmer School of Business is AACSB accredited and is ranked among the nations top 50 undergraduate business programs by U.S. News and World Report. |
