Fall commencement Dec. 13

Miami University awarded 871 diplomas at the fall commencement ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in Millett Hall.

Provost Ronald A. Crutcher presided.

The student speaker was Irina Dorman from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business Administration.

Svetlana Beros Rook, president of Miami’s Alumni Association, also spoke briefly. Organist Rod Nimtz, assistant executive director at Miami Middletown, presented the music.

Conferral of diplomas included 95 associate’s, 664 bachelor’s, 103 master’s, one specialist in education and eight doctoral degrees.
