Neelam Modi named student trustee12/03/1999 |

Neelam Modi of North Royalton, Ohio, has been appointed a student member of Miami University’s board of trustees by Gov. Bob Taft. Modi, a junior majoring in finance, will serve until Feb. 29, 2000. A graduate of North Royalton High School, Modi has served as a student member of University Senate and senator for Associated Student Government at Miami. He is a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Student members of the board of trustees have no voting power and do not attend executive sessions of the board. Two students are appointed to each state university board of trustees for two-year terms. Modi replaces Peter R. Ricci of Fairlawn who graduated and resigned in May. |
