MIAMI GRAD RANKS HIGHEST IN STATE

OXFORD, Ohio -- Martz A. Howard, who received his master's of

accountancy from Miami University last summer, had the highest score in the

state of Ohio on the November 1996 Uniform Certified Public Accountants

Examination.

A total of 2,492 Ohio candidates took the CPA exam. Howard, taking the

test for the first time, was one of only 166 people who passed all four parts

on their first attempt.

Of the 663 Ohio candidates who passed the exam, 55 were from Miami.
