Jazz Ensemble and Chamber Singers: OMEA Preview Concert Feb. 5

The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jeremy Long, and the Chamber Singers, directed by William Bausano, will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Hall Auditorium. The free concert is a preview of their upcoming performance the annual Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference to be held Feb. 7-9 in Columbus.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform compositions by jazz greats Thelonious Monk, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Thad Jones, and Bob Mintzer.

The Chamber Singers will feature repertoire from their recent winter tour and Carnegie Hall performance. They will also present three opera choruses, Brindisi from "La Traviata" by Guiseppe Verdi; Pilgrim's Chorus from "The Three Hermits" by Stephen Paulus; and Make our Garden Grow from "Candide" by Leonard Bernstein.
