On behalf of the Miami administration, it is with deep sadness that I share with you the news of the death of first-year student Nicole M. Sefton Jan. 24. Nicole, of Hamilton, was an athletic training major and taking classes on both the Hamilton and Oxford campuses.
One of Nicole's Miami teachers said, "She was a very good student who was meant to be an athletic trainer and was eager and engaged in everything we did."
The university extends sympathy to Nicole's family and friends. Anyone at Miami who feels a need for support should call the office of the dean of students at 529-1877.
Visitation was held 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, in Ross.
The funeral is at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Charles Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, OH
Burial will be in New London Cemetery, Shandon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be sent to FFA, Ross High School, 3601 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio, 45061
