Entity email account owners need to prepare for email change

Anyone who owns or manages an Exchange Entity account needs to be aware of the following information in preparation for the upcoming email migration from Microsoft Exchange to Google.

Entity accounts are user accounts that belong to a department or organization rather than a specific individual. An entity account can be created as an email address, a calendar resource or a web hosting account. An example is ITHelp@MiamiOH.edu.

Owners or managers of email entity accounts need to follow these steps to keep that account active following the email migration on Dec. 21.

1. Before Dec. 21 make sure you know the password for the account.

2. On or after Dec. 21, log in to myMiami (http://myMiami.MiamiOH.edu) as the account:

a. Unique ID = short name of Entity (the part before the @)
b. Password = Entity account password

3. Click the mail icon in the upper left-hand portion of the screen to access the entity mailbox.
