What will happen on Friday, Dec. 21
Although IT services will do most of the work, employees have a few things to do:
- When you access your Miami email on Dec. 21, first log in to myMiami and click the email button at the upper left. This will start the synching of your account. Once the synching is launched, you can use the Google web mail and calendaring online. If you use a Windows computer, you can use Outlook. If you use a Mac computer, you can use Mac Mail and ICal. The choice is up to you.
- FYI: Some information will not copy from your Exchange
account to Google —contact groups, mailbox rules, and
any messages/attachments larger than 25MB.
- Instructions on how to get Miami Mail on your mobile
device or using the Google Apps for Education can be
found at www.MiamiOH.edu/GoGoogle
- Your new Miami email address will be uniqueID@MiamiOh.
edu. You will continue to receive email addressed
to muohio.edu until summer 2014.
