Skate with the hockey team Saturday

The Miami ice hockey team will open the 2012-13 season this weekend when the RedHawks host Colgate University Friday, Oct. 12, and Saturday, Oct. 13, at Steve Cady Arena at the Goggin Ice Center in a two-game series. Puck drop Friday is at 7:35 p.m. while Saturday’s game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday is Skate with the Hawks Night, one of two Skate with the Hawks Nights this year. Following the game, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to skate with the RedHawks on the Steve Cady Arena ice, get pictures taken with the players and get their autographs. The other Skate with the Hawks Night is set for Feb. 2.

Tickets for both games this weekend are still available and can be purchased online.
