Office of enrollment management publishes annual fall update

The office of enrollment management presents its annual fall Enrollment Management Update. The update showcases the entering class profile, including academic characteristics and composition, and other key enrollment and outcome metrics.

Miami welcomed more than 3,700 first-year students—a record-breaking enrollment number—to campus this fall. Thirty-nine percent come from outside of Ohio, including international students who make up 4 percent. Incoming students have an average ACT of 26.5 and 40 percent entered having earned AP college credit, with each student earning an average of 12.5 AP credit hours.

Each year, the office of admission implements a high-touch recruitment strategy, which includes numerous communication campaigns, domestic and international travel, and welcoming more than 40,000 prospective students and parents to campus. Statistics show that once prospective students visit campus, they are much more likely to apply, meaning the campus visit experience is extremely critical. Miami hosts daily information sessions and tours, special events, overnight visits and more throughout the year.

The office of enrollment management is looking forward to another great year of recruiting and enrolling the next incoming class with the help of the entire Miami community.
