More than 25 events focusing on global learning and student opportunities overseas are scheduled for Miami University's annual Study Abroad Week, Sept. 17-21.
- Study Abroad Fair
11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Shriver multipurpose room (MPR)
Features more than 50 representatives ready to share information with students about a variety of programs and countries.
- Post-study Abroad Expo
Sponsored by UniDiversity, the expo will take place in the Shriver MPR lobby during the fair. Students who recently studied in Latin America and Spanish-speaking countries will share their photos and experiences with other interested students.
- “Crossing Borders”
Film screening at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, in 1000 Farmer School of Business.
The documentary follows four Moroccan and four American university students as they travel through Morocco and confront their preconceptions of the “culture clash” between their histories and homelands.
- FBI presentation
“IT Security While Studying Abroad” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in 212 MacMillan Hall.
Other events include information sessions, advising opportunities, and highlights of Miami study abroad programs in Luxembourg and through the Farmer School of Business.
About 47 percent of Miami University students have studied abroad by the time they graduate.
